HorizonGameLab.ink is a neon-soaked arcade lounge and indie dev studio on Peel Street. Free-play cabinets, monthly game jams, and a playtest lab where our own titles are born.

Trusted by Melbourne’s player community
Everything happens under one roof at 62 Peel Street — open Tuesday to Sunday, 12pm till late.
Eighty restored cabinets and pinball tables, all set to free-play. Day passes are AU$28 (AU$22 concession), or grab an unlimited monthly membership for AU$79. Open Tue–Sun, 12pm–11pm; Fridays run till 1am.
On the first weekend of every month we clear the mezzanine, hand out a theme, and build playable games from Friday 6pm to Sunday 6pm. Entry is AU$40 and includes meals, a workstation, and mentor feedback from our studio leads.
Bring your prototype and put it in front of real players in our instrumented lab. Ninety-minute sessions from AU$140 include recorded playthroughs, heatmaps, and a written report within three business days.
Hire the whole neon room for birthdays, studio wrap parties or team offsites. Packages start at AU$650 for up to 25 players across three hours, with catering from our Smith Street neighbours.
Saturday mornings, ages 9–15 learn to build their first game in Godot. Six-week terms are AU$240, capped at twelve seats so every young dev gets hands-on time with a mentor.
A small team of arcade tinkerers, designers and event hosts.

Play the highlight reel
The jam weekend was the most fun I’ve had building anything. Went in solo, left with a finished game and three new teammates.
Booked the whole room for my partner’s 30th. The staff ran a mini tournament and the neon lighting made every photo look incredible.
The playtest lab report caught a tutorial problem we’d been blind to for months. Worth every dollar for an indie studio.
One email a fortnight — new events, guest arcades and member-only free-play evenings. No spam, unsubscribe anytime.
